Due to a big run on Ross Muir prints we have another order arriving very soon. They should be with us by next week! Its been great to watch Ross go from strength to strength with his Adidas themed reimagined classics! These are all Limited Edition (Limited to 250 copies) and are printed with digital pigment on 310 gsm Archival Museum Paper.
We are very proud and excited to welcome our new signing – Susan Wilmot to the Braemar Gallery. We have been fans of her work for quite some time now, so it’s wonderful to have her work in the gallery.
Ken Ferguson has just dropped off new work to the Gallery this morning!
These are some of the most intricate and beautiful paintings he has produced to date. During the lockdown period Ken has really focused on his technique, which I for one thought hard to improve upon.
He has produced a series of wonderful winter birchwood images, a “Lochnagar from the Ladder” and a stunning “Lochnagar twilight”, which really capture the feeling of being out there on a winters evening.
Sizes and Prices will shortly appear on the Website Shop Page…stay tuned.
Those of you who already follow us on Facebook and Instagram might already be up to speed with the “tundra journal”. I started recording my dog walks and wanderings 20 years ago – its just a habit now. This logging of photographs has proved very popular with folk who love all things Braemar. I will continue to post here from time to time for those that are interested. Let me know if you have any favourite places and I shall try to photograph them.
Earlier this year we were super excited to be heading into our twentieth year in Braemar (29 years of Braemar Gallery – but 20 Years under my watch).
We had renovated the gallery over the wonderful winter season and had our good pal Craig at Crooked Shed make us bespoke till points and wrapping area. We re-configured the lay out of the gallery and had the brilliant Richard Tait Joinery help us out there! Heck! We even put in heaters!!! I must be going soft in my old age!
Then things got weird and we all had to stay inside –
Now we find ourself making the first moves back to some sense of normality – and this website is part of that new direction….
Well good people – We’re really looking forward to opening up again soon – I hope to get the printmaking workshop up and running as soon as possible too. Mrs Braemar Gallery has many new ideas which we will be working on over the forthcoming year.
We will keep you posted using our new website and social media too! So stay tuned – don’t touch that dial.
